For 40 years, we have been on record as a leading manufacturer of heat treatment equipment for the press hardening, hardening, annealing, forging and brazing of steels, non-ferrous metals and aluminum. We are the global market leader in the field of heat treatment solutions for press hardening.
Our advanced heat treatment systems have proven their merits many times over in automotive manufacturing and its supplier industries, steel and nonferrous metals processing, and in the aircraft industry. Today, these installations are in use all over the globe. In the automotive sector, we supply directly to vehicle manufacturers as a tier 1 and tier 2 supplier or act as a vendor to their direct suppliers.
Customized heat treatment systems, made to measure
Heat treatment systems made by schwartz GmbH are designed and built individually to match specific user requirements, relying on our expertise and experience in this field since 1984.
Our equipment allows heat treatment processes to be carried out in air, protective gas and/or reactive atmospheres. For the heat treatment of aluminum in particular, we design and manufacture equipment with high-convection heating methods.
Innovation based on experience
Over the decades we have repeatedly drawn attention to ourselves with innovative systems. In 2015, for example, we were awarded the Aachen Region’s AC² Innovation Prize for our new development for partial heating of circuit boards. This has now been successfully implemented in production.
schwartz worldwide
The schwartz Group has eight locations worldwide with more than 20,00 m² of production and service space, as well as 2,000 m² of office space and employs about 250 people, 140 of them at our headquarters in Simmerath. Here, we have around 4,500 m² of space available for production, assembly and factory acceptance of our heat treatment plants.
The construction of all plants takes place exclusively at our headquarters in Simmerath. This is also where the main production takes place. Further production facilities are located in Aachen and at our Chinese subsidiary near Shanghai, PR China.
