As of now, Simmerath will be among the locations where an emergency call box can help to save lives.
When a beach emergency occurs at a resort lake, rapid assistance is essential. Calling emergency services, dialing 112 is what first comes to mind, but how if one doesn’t have one’s cellphone at hand? After all, many bathers won’t take their phones along for fear of them getting stolen. To remedy this situation, the Björn Steiger Foundation and the German Lifeguard Association (Deutsche Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft, DLRG) have launched the new project emergency call box.
To help the new project get underway, schwartz GmbH will assume the sponsorship for an emergency call box on the shore of lake Rursee.
