In early September, schwartz underwent the certification process in accordance with ISO 9001/14001. The necessary preparations had been initiated in March.
They were followed by preliminary discussions in the various departments. The internal audit (trial run) was then conducted on 28 – 29 August, with the external audit (i.e., the actual examination) taking place on 5 – 6 September. ISO 9001/14001 is the most widespread, globally recognized quality management standard. QM comprises the planning, control, management and improvement of processes and workflows. The aim is to supply schwartz products and services of utmost quality. Moreover, it is intended to improve and optimize the individual processes on a continuous basis.
